Extensive experience in all areas of Family Law since 1978, including the simple to the complex Matrimonial Law Cases involving Litigation, Mediation, and Resolution.

Mr. Treece’s legal practice includes, but is not limited to, Divorce Law, Child Custody, including the Establishment and Resolution of Parental Responsibility Issues, Timeshare, and Parenting Plans; Child Support; Family Support and Alimony; Equitable Division of Marital Properties, both Asset and Debt Distribution; Enforcement and Contempt Procedures for Violations of Court Orders; Modification of Court Orders; Paternity Cases; Domestic Violence Injunctions; Prenuptial and Postnuptial Agreements and Planning. Prior lecturer/instructor for Divorce and Family Law seminars for members of the legal community and the community at large.

Extensive Experience in the Criminal Justice System , beginning his career 44 years ago as an Assistant State Attorney, Fourth Judicial Circuit (1974-1978), covering Duval, Clay and Nassau Counties, where he litigated hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases and achieved the position of Felony Trial Division Chief, Duval County, Florida.

Continuing his career as a Criminal Defense Attorney in private practice since l978. As a trial lawyer, Mr. Treece prosecuted or defended the following: Criminal Capital Felonies, including Murder (First and Second Degree); Manslaughter; Vehicular Homicide; Drug Offenses; Robbery; Theft; Sex Offenses, including Sexual Battery, Lewd and Lascivious; Assault and Battery; Domestic Violence; D.U.I.; Theft; and Multiple Misdemeanors.

Former Instructor at the NE Florida Law Enforcement Training Facility and frequent lecturer to its members on many critical issues involving the Investigation of Sex Crimes, and Education on Criminal Laws and Criminal Procedure.

Representing victims of Personal Injuries, including Car Accidents, Slip and Fall, Medical Negligence, and Toxic Torts.

Previous experience and practice in Real Estate (Property) Law, Corporate Law, Construction Litigation, and Commercial Litigation.
